Paper Art

Chantel has got me all hooked on making paper art, so much fun! We've been making flowers, pretty, girlie, flowers. Scrapbooking isn't what it use to be kids. It's taken on a much more modern twist, which has me completely excited. I'd rather frame the stuff I work on than put it in a book itself. That way you can actually see it. On a completely unrelated note, I'm watching the Iron Giant. I always thought it was some cheesy transformer type film. I bought it at walmart for $10 last year and was so pleasantly suprised. It actually is a very superb film. It's directed by Brad Bird, who also created "The Incredibles." And what had me so excited the first time I watched it was the appearance made by Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston as train conducters ( how perfect!) Highly recommended on my list of favorite animated features.

Tour Eiffel

Did a painting the other night. I think I want to redo this one. The proportions of the tower are way off. The top part should be longer and a little narrower in width And the bridge, oh it's so ugly! Eeeeeee. I can't even pass it off as being part of the style. But I'm somewhat happy with how the clouds turned out. I have to try and be less controlled in the way I paint. I was aiming for more abstract or child like in nature but things didn't quite go that way. Ok, enough babbling!

Bunnies

My dog has this poor little bunny she drags around, in fact it's probably frozen in the ice outside as I type this. Poor thing, it's a cold night. So I decided to draw it. And may I add, I love Sharpie markers! and.........Life Drawing classes begin tomorrow!!!!!

Hello

Ah, a new blog to write in. This is my artsy journal. I hope to post some artwork, though my scanner isn't working. I may be able to just snap some shots with my digital camera. Well, hello and welcome to my blog. That was a bit delayed, but whatever. I do plan on getting back to life drawing classes. Infact my friend Ashley and I were suppose to go this last week but we both had to work. Then I read that classes only go up to the 30th, then they're taking a break. I did buy this great new tupperware box for my art supplies, it was the excitement of my week, sad huh? I think I should get out more.
Ta ta for now!
